We thought it would be fun to start a Fishing Contest to help
increase reader participation. Winners will be determined April
30, 2011.
This
contest will be ran on an honor system. We have multiple
categories and multiple prizes. Please review our page regarding
fish handling to ensure that all
anglers are following the laws of Idaho and protecting our fish.
Any
comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated, shoot us an

Anyone who
requests to be on the fishing report e-mailing list will be
entered into a random drawing. Request to be on the fishing
report email list
here.
The winner
of the drawing will receive a 1-Person 1-Day guided Steelhead
fishing trip on the Clearwater River during the 2011/2012
fishing season.
Most
Days of Fishing on the Clearwater:
Submit a
fishing report for the day on the water. Please include number
of hours fished, method used, section of river (Lower, Upper,
NF, SF) and number of fish caught. Email fishing reports
here.
The angler
with the most days on the water will receive a 1-Person 1-Day
guided Steelhead fishing trip on the Clearwater River during the
2011/2012 fishing season and a new Fetha Styx Predator Fishing
Rod.
Biggest
Hatchery Fish:
To help
protect native fish only hatchery fish may be entered into this
category. Fish must be caught during the contest dates, January
1, 2010 to April 30, 2011. Use a flexible tape to measure the
length and girth. Length measurements are made from nose to tip
of tail. Girth measurement are made right in front of the dorsal
fin. Measurements should be made down to the 1/8". A picture
must accompany the measurements. Send you measurements and

The angler
with the largest hatchery fish will receive their choice of $25
cash, 1 dozen steelhead flies or 24 pre tied bait loops.
Most
Clearwater Steelhead Caught:
All fish
must be caught legally during the contest dates, January 1, 2010
to April 30, 2011. Take a quick picture of each fish. No need to
hold the fish a quick shot in the net is sufficient. Clearwater
Steelhead only. Send your pictures
here.
The angler
with the most Clearwater Steelhead caught during the contest
will receive their choice of $100 or a new Shimano casting or
spinning reel.
Best
Fishing Adventure Story:
Submit any
story that has to do with fishing. Does not have to be Steelhead
or Clearwater related. Stories will be posted with the fishing
reports. There will also be a voting page so readers can vote
for their favorite story. Submit your fishing stories
here.
The story
that receives the most votes will win a new Fetha Styx Predator
